21st, 22nd Aug - Stuck in Geneva

We woke up to beautiful sunshine on the 21st.  We packed up the tents and gear and left the campsite.  We went back to the bike in Geneva and worked on it.  But weren't having any luck.  A female priest helped us by calling a mechanic who never showed up.  We eventually got the new electric part that we needed and fitted it.  But still couldn't get the bike running.

The only thing to do...   Glen pushed the bike halfway across Geneva to a Honda Dealer/Mechanic who specialises in Honda Deauville's.  We left it there overnight.  Damn! Stuck another night in Geneva...   We went to a new camping site that night and set up again.  We got a BBQ going tonight at the campsite and had a good craic.  We discovered that our tent's were setup literally 10metres from the Swiss/France border, the border being a river that flowed into the lake beside us.

Next morning we dropped Glen into Geneva city to pick up the bike.

Me and Ado went for a drive around the lake which was great.  We ended up in the 1000 year old Chillon Castle which was fantastic and we took loads of photos there.  The roads were stunning, but in the last few miles the skies opened up again and it rained heavily for our last bit which was very disheartening.  Not sure yet whether Glen bike was sorted or not...   we arrive at the campsite to see a 99 D Honda Deauville sitting there pretty.  Excellent.  All bike problems sorted now we'd be leaving Geneva Tomorrow.

Glen's story was different from ours.  Glen had spent the day by himself in the city, and went to pick up his bike at 3pm.  The mechanic told him his spare key wasn't right.  He had a spare key cut for the bike before he left Dublin.  It turned out the spare key wouldn't have worked the bike at all, so he grabbed a taxi back to the campsite to get his original key and when he tried the new key it fired up immediately.  Unbeknowst to us, Ado had fixed the problem yesterday, but the 2nd key we were using was not allowing the ignition to work.  Oops.

We celebrated with a major night out and ended up in mulligans pub and onto a club with some friendly Irish and Egyptian girls.
