As usual I had a my birthday in Ashlinn's house in Trim. I'm beginning to think Bob and Ashlinn use my birthday as an excuse just to throw a summer party :)  But that's fine with me. There was a great turn out this year. And many thanks to everyone who showed up. I'm already looking forward to next year's party! Unfortunately the slip n' slide never materialised, but the bouncy castle was great fun. The day started early with a motocross practice session in Doon. Then we went back to Trim and had a killer BBQ. Then we played on the bouncy castle to aid our digestion. Later we lit a bonfire and my brother Paul lit off some of the worst fireworks ever.

The next day Myself and Judy took a drive around Trim, visiting Trim Castle and a number of abbeys nearby on the Boyne. I never realised just how rich the Trim area is in fantastic historical buildings. After the tour of the castle, Myself and Judy pondered how the ancient inhabitants of Trim castle were very lucky to be able to get quality curry chips and ice cream cones just across the road from their castle.

I had a fantastic weekend and it's great how Ireland can really be a lovely place when the weather is good.
